About the Role

Are you a dynamic and results-driven professional with a strong background in the freight forwarding industry? Perform Recruitment is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our client, a reputable Freight Forwarding company operating in the UK and Ireland. This is initially a fully remote position with the possibility to work from UK Essex office in a few months time.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, while also nurturing and expanding relationships with existing customers and strategic partners.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market dynamics to ensure a competitive edge in the Freight Forwarding sector.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver excellent customer service and exceed client expectations.
Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize results.
Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in road and ocean freight forwarding is essential.
Possess a strong understanding of the Freight Forwarding industry in the Essex area, including its challenges and opportunities.
Proven track record in generating new business and driving sales growth.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and partners.
Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market trends and adapt the company's approach accordingly.
Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented attitude.
Location: Remote (Candidates based in Ireland may choose to work from any of 5 offices.)
